Introducing the Weird Fishes Collection – A Collaboration with Lee Foster-Wilson
Next up in our Artist Editions 2025 series is a dreamy, ocean-inspired print that captures the magic of the sea – meet the Weird Fishes Collection, created in collaboration with Lee Foster-Wilson of Bonbi Forest.
Based in Cornwall, UK, Lee is an illustrator and artist whose work is deeply rooted in the rural and coastal beauty surrounding her home. For this exclusive Zipster collaboration, she dived beneath the waves and took inspiration from the tide pools and curious sea life found on her local beach.
The result? Weird Fishes – a painterly underwater world teeming with charm. Originally drawn using coloured pencil, crayon and acrylic inks, Lee’s artwork was transformed into a vibrant, textured print filled with quirky marine creatures. From shoals of fish to tiny underwater treasures, it’s the perfect pattern for curious little ones and water-loving babies.
“Weird Fishes is inspired by the rock pools and ocean near my home – all the little creatures and colours that hide just below the surface,” says Lee. “It was such a joy to create something so playful and detailed for Zipster!”
To celebrate the launch, we donated 10% of all Weird Fishes sales from launch weekend to the Surfrider Foundation Europe, a non-profit organisation dedicated to protecting oceans and coastlines. Surfrider works across Europe to fight marine pollution, protect biodiversity, and engage communities in beach cleanups and environmental advocacy – causes close to both Lee’s and our hearts. The Weird Fishes Collection is now available at zipsterbaby.com, printed on our signature soft, sustainable bamboo fabric and available in Zipster favourites including rompers, onesies and PJ sets.
As the second release in our Artist Editions 2025 series, Weird Fishes continues our celebration of artistry, nature, and bold babywear. Each drop in this series features a limited-edition print created just for Zipster by a handpicked artist – and Lee’s underwater vision is a true standout.
